BL-2s Power System
Slash's BL-2s brushless power system is an absolute game-changer with 15% more speed, quicker acceleration, and a more responsive throttle. Improved efficiency, high-speed ball bearings, and an internal cooling fan allow Slash to run battery after battery for all-day race sessions. With no brushes to wear out, the BL-2s 3300 kV motor can last the entire racing season with minimal maintenance.

Clipless Body Mounting
Slash’s revolutionary clipless body holds firm no matter how rough the racing gets. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly, but release in just seconds for fast battery swaps on the pit bench. Clipless Body
Slash's innovative clipless body features secure mounting with quick and easy removal. No posts, no clips—just drop the body onto the chassis and snap it into place for a secure hold. When it’s time to change the battery, depress the tabs under the wheel wells and lift up to access the chassis in just seconds.

Extreme HD Driveshafts
>Slash’s Extreme HD driveshafts are beefed up in critical areas for outrageous power handling. The large-diameter half shafts offer excellent articulation and suspension travel and hold up to the BL-2s brushless system’s tire-shredding torque with ease.
Oil-Filled Ultra Shocks
Slash’s oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilize X-ring technology for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. They are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons. Features include pressure bladders for air/oil separation and spring clips to precisely change the ride height and spring pre-load. They can be renewed in minutes with our inexpensive rebuild kits.
Chassis Nerf Bars
Tough integrated nerf bars offer side chassis protection against the fender-to-fender impacts of track competition and backyard bashing.
Long Wheelbase Chassis
Slash’s long 13.2″ wheelbase chassis provides superior stability on high-speed straights with over 3.5 inches of ground clearance to prevent bottoming out. The chassis includes drain holes and a battery tray channel for routing servo wires to the receiver.
High Torque Steering Servo
A race truck needs a powerful steering servo for responsive performance. The Traxxas 2075 waterproof digital high-torque servo provides precise steering authority and speed for wheel-to-wheel racing in the backyard or on the track.
Waterproof Receiver Box
Slash’s patented sealed receiver box gives you the freedom to drive where you want, when you want. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a special water-tight seal. A blue O-ring seals the receiver box to protect the receiver from water.
TQ Radio System
The TQ’s advanced programming provides long-range control with smooth, glitch-free performance. 2.4 GHz technology allows you to race multiple vehicles side by side without interference. The TQ’s ergonomic design is comfortable for all day driving with an internal antenna that is impervious to damage.
Adjustable Battery Hold-Down
Slash’s innovative battery tray accommodates both flat and “hump” pack NiMH batteries. The extended tray allows the battery packs to be positioned forward or backward for front/rear weight bias tuning. An optional battery expander kit (sold separately) is available for use with oversize batteries.
Short Course Wheels & Tires
Slash’s BFGoodrich® Mud Terrain T/A® tires have excellent grip in the dirt and just the right amount of slide on pavement. Their authentic scale appearance and realistic performance add to the racing experience. The tires come mounted and pre-glued to 2.2″ Split-Spokedual-profile SCT wheels.
Bellcrank Steering
Slash’s high-performance bellcrank steering system minimizes bump steer for precise wheel placement and increased cornering stability.
Adjustable Steel Turnbuckles
Heavy duty steel turnbuckles allow trackside camber and toe tuning for greater agility and high-speed performance. Captured rod ends provide unmatched durability and they won’t pop off during a race.
HD Suspension Arms
Molded from our toughest composite material, Slash’s heavy duty suspension arms provide just the right amount of flex to resist breaking. These suspension arms stand up to even the most punishing drivers for non-stopwheel-to-wheel racing.
Hex Hardware
Slash uses pro-quality, high-grade, metric hex-drive hardware throughout for extra strength and easy maintenance. The black-oxiderust-resistant finish provides a high tech look and feel.
Clipless Body Mounting
High-flying stunts won’t upset Slash’s tough clipless body. Locking tabs hold the body tightly, but release in just seconds. Slash’s hidden latching system maximizes convenience and scale realism by removing traditional body clips which would interrupt the body’s clean lines.
Scale Bumpers
Engineered to handle the abuse of bumper-to-bumper bashing, the scale tube-style bumpers are designed to absorb brutal impacts while looking the part of a true short course race truck.
Extreme HD Suspension Components
Slash comes outfitted with factory-installed Extreme Heavy Duty suspension components for ultimate strength and durability. The rear axle carriers, C-hubs, and steering blocks are beefed up with more material and stronger construction.
Motor Mount with Integrated Cooling Channels
The sealed gearbox protects transmission components from dirt and rocks. The molded motor plate includes finned cooling channels that work in conjunction with the motor’s internal fan to pull air through the motor for superior cooling.
The Magnum 272’s all metal gears ride on ultra-smooth sealed ball bearings. The bulletproof Torque-Control™ slipper clutch and metal transmission gears are ready to handle any power system upgrade including the extreme Velineon® brushless power system.
Torque-Control Slipper Clutch
Semi-metallic pads and finned aluminum alloy pressure plates dissipate heat and provide consistent traction. The semi-metallic friction material remains stable across a wide temperature range to provide smooth, linear engagement. Spur gears can be removed and replaced without altering the slipper adjustment.
Planetary Gear Differential
The planetary gear differential uses hardened steel internal gears for maximum strength during rigorous off-road bashing. This type of differential requires virtually no maintenance, and its efficient design puts maximum tire-shredding power to the wheels.
Rubber-Sealed Ball Bearings
Rubber-sealed bearings offer the ultimate in super low-friction performance and maximum protection in dusty environments. They are used in all exposed locations on the truck and are virtually maintenance free.
