With their stunning factory-applied, permanently printed graphics, Traxxas RTR cars and trucks are the best-looking machines on the street, in the dirt, and on the trail. But Traxxas hasn’t forgotten you DIYers who prefer a custom, personalized look, and there’s no better way to get just the style you’ve imagined for your machine than with ProGraphix^® Custom R/C Paint and genuine Traxxas polycarbonate bodies in clear and ProGraphix styles. Let’s take a closer look at the lineup.

ProGraphix Paints
The clear polycarbonate plastic used for R/C bodies requires specialized paint. Regular enamel paints will adhere poorly, which can lead to cracking and flaking. Traxxas ProGraphix paints are formulated to bond permanently to polycarbonate and spray in a fine mist for airbrush-like results. Twenty-three colors are available in generous 5oz. cans, and the most used colors are also offered in large, money saving 13.5 oz. cans.

ProGraphix paints are available in 23 colors including metallic and fluorescent hues, window tint, and clear matte for no-shine looks.

You can even spray a mirror-chrome finish using ProGraphix chrome and the special acrylic backing paint that helps achieve the effect.

ProGraphix paints feature wide, comfortable nozzles that spray a controlled mist for precise, even application, fast drying, and pro results.

ProGraphix Bodies
Nearly every Traxxas model’s list of available options includes clear and ProGraphix bodies. Clear bodies are just that, completely clear and undecorated. Decals are supplied for details like headlights, grilles, windows, and logos, but all the color and graphics choices are up to you. ProGraphix bodies are printed with eye-popping designs that include clear sections for you to fill with the color(s) of your choice. With one can of color and no masking required, you can give your model custom-painted style in just a few minutes.

Completely clear and partially finished ProGraphix body styles are available for nearly all Traxxas models. No matter which style you choose, Traxxas bodies arrive fully trimmed with mounting holes in place, so there’s no cutting or drilling required.

Polycarbonate bodies are painted on the inside. The outside of the body is protected against overspray by a transparent film coating that you peel off after painting. The clear plastic supplies a high gloss, and since the paint is on the inside, it’s protected against scratching and scuffing. These pics are from our TRX-4 Sport kit build-up, check it out here.

This is the ProGraphix body for Sledge. The red, white, and blue areas are where we applied paint; all the other graphics were already printed on the body. We sprayed the red and blue areas first, then covered everything with white. The whole job took three minutes!
