Forced Recovery

If necessary, it is possible to force a firmware upgrade and restore Aton to working condition.
  1. Insert the microSD card into the card reader connected to your Computer
  2. Make a duplicate copy of the file TRX-FMU-V2.bin
  3. Rename the file copy to UPGRADE.bin
    • Capitalization is important.  The firmware upgrade will not start unless the filename UPGRADE.bin matches exactly.
  4. Eject the microSD card and remove from the card reader connected to your Computer
  5. Insert the microSD card into the Aton microSD card slot
  6. Power on your Traxxas Aton Quadcopter
    • Aton will upgrade to the firmware package.
    • The file UPGRADE.bin will be automatically deleted when the firmware upgrade successfully completes.
