Optimize Drag Slash Performance with New Sticky Compound Tires, Firm Foam Inserts, and Reduced-Toe Suspension Arms

NEW Sticky Compound Mickey Thompson ET Competition Slicks
Tires are critical to any racecar’s setup, and that’s especially true for drag racing. Traxxas now offers new Drag Slash tire options with a thicker carcass and “sticky compound” rubber formulation for enhanced traction, control, and tire life. Mickey Thompson ET logos and replica Weld Racing wheels deliver style to match performance as you enjoy these benefits on the track:
Mickey Thompson ET Competition Slicks
New “sticky” rubber and a thicker carcass deliver race-winning traction.
Thicker Tire Carcass
The new Sticky Compound tires have the same outer dimensions as the stock Drag Slash slicks but feature a thicker carcass for even more consistent performance. The thicker construction reduces high-RPM expansion to improve stability down the strip, and the extra material helps the tread hold heat to ensure maximum traction at launch.
Thicker tire carcass
The sticky compound tires feature a thicker carcass than the stock Drag Slash slick.
More Grip, Less Wear
The specially formulated sticky compound improves grip on a wide range of track surface types to deliver harder launches, shorter ETs, and greater control from start to finish. More traction also means reduced tire spin, which extends tire life.
Available Mounted and Unmounted
The new sticky slicks are available mounted on Weld Racing replica wheels in your choice of three finishes, with standard Drag Slash foams installed. Or, get the new slicks unmounted and pair them with the new firm-foam inserts to further hone performance to your local track.
Mounted tire optionsYou can get the sticky slicks unmounted, or on Weld replica wheels in three styles.

New Drag Slick Firm Foam Inserts

The new molded foam inserts are firmer than the stock Drag Slash inserts and optimized for race-winning performance with the latest sticky-compound slicks. Available in +1 and +2 firmness, the stiffer inserts reduce compression under acceleration for instant response and faster launches. The increased firmness also reduces side-to-side sidewall flex and tread walk for enhanced stability and control from start to finish.
Firm foam insertThe firm foam inserts are molded for precise fit and consistent track feel.

New Reduced Toe-In Rear Heavy-Duty Suspension Arms

The stock Drag Slash suspension is set with 3° of rear toe-in for enhanced straight-line stability. New Heavy Duty rear arm options allow toe to be reduced to two, one, or zero degrees. Lower toe angles reduce tire scrub, which increases traction and efficiency for an even faster trip to the finish line. But take note, reducing rear toe-in also reduces straight-line stability. Traxxas’ own in-house drag racers offer these notes on choosing arms for your Drag Slash:
3° Toe In
This is the stock Drag Slash rear toe-in setting, best for stability and forgiving control on all tracks. The 3° arms are also available in colors: orange, blue, green, red, black.
2° Toe In
The reduced toe setting enhances efficiency for higher top speeds while still providing good stability.
1° Toe In
Higher efficiency and top speed with minimal stability-enhancing effect. Recommended for experienced racers.
Zero Toe In
Experienced racers only. Eliminates tire scrub for peak efficiency, but also removes the stability-enhancing effect of toe-in.
