See How to Maximize Traction for Your Traxxas Truck
Even the gnarliest knobbies and chunkiest treads have trouble making traction in loose sand or soft snow. These challenging conditions call for a specialized tire, one that’s been a staple for full-scale dune buggies, sand rails, and snow machines for decades: the paddle. Traxxas makes it easy to put high-performance paddle tires on your 2WD and 4X4 trucks with eight options that arrive fully mounted and ready for action. Here’s everything you need to know about putting paddles to work on your ride.

Traxxas Paddle Tires in Action
If you’ve never seen paddle tires do their thing, get ready to see some cool and crazy stuff. The way the treads sling sand, throw snow and even roll across standing water (pros only, don’t try this at home) is truly wild. View the playlist below to see all the wild action.

TSM Rated
All mounted Traxxas paddle tires are TSM rated, which means they’re mounted using Ultra Premium Tire Glue so they’ll stay firmly attached to the rims on high-power models equipped with Traxxas Stability Management (TSM)®. Why does TSM make a difference, you ask? The electronic stability system makes it easy to roost and slide without spinning out, which results in two things: a lot more fun for you, and a lot more high-speed spinning for the tires. That spinning creates a powerful centrifugal force that pulls hard on the tires, but no worries—Ultra Premium Tire Glue was developed to hold the tires on the XO-1 at 100+ mph, and won’t let go. Drive hard!

The thickly-molded paddles and firm rubber compound help the tires slap through sand and snow as the wide carcass spreads the vehicles weight to stay on top of the terrain.
